What is “Niiza brand”?
Niiza has a lot to offer, including nature, history, and various events, but what are the products for which we can confidently say, “this is it”?
To respond to the question, we gave certifications to great products that deliver the character of Niiza, with a special focus on food products.
Each of the products we awarded certifications has a strong connection with Niiza in terms of materials, manufacturing process, or concepts.
With the excitement of “tasty!,” we want to channel the stories of Niiza and the owners’ deep love for Niiza. That is why we selected these products.
About “Niiza brand” certification system
It is designed to improve the image of the City, recover the industry, and vitalize the local economy by certifying great products produced in Niiza as “Niiza brand” and giving information to outside of the City. Moreover, it is aimed to give opportunities for the locals to know the local specialties, industry, culture, and so forth through the system and to feel more attached to, be more proud of the City and be more aware that you belong here.
After receiving a certification
The product will be introduced at city events and broadly promoted through various media such as city brochure and websites.
The logo of “Niiza brand” can be put on the products or in stores (stickers will be provided by the City).
“Niiza brand” flags and certificates (provided by the City) can be displayed at stores.
The producers of certified products can have priority to have stalls at city events as well as be recommended preferentially to events outside the City.
The products are also sold at a permanent store (Niiza agricultural products outlet stores “Toretate Batake”).
Moreover, the products are also used as benefits of the “hometown tax donation system.”
Look for this mark
|Cooperating with students majoring in design at Niiza General Technical High School, we solicited ideas for the logo to promote Niiza brand certified products and the Niiza brand certification system. As a result of the evaluation process, this piece was selected.
Please look for this logo and purchase Niiza brand certified products.
Ms. Mayu Matsuura, freshman (at the time), design major at Saitama Prefectural Niiza General Technical High School
The concept of the piece
The piece has luxurious taste to it with golden letters and frame on a black base, and Magnolia, the flower of Niiza City, was used as a motif. Using font type that looks like it was written with a brush conveys Japanese taste and handmade feel by craftsman.
The “Miki mama” vouches for them!
|Ms. Miki Fujiwara (Miki mama), who is a PR ambassador of Niiza City and currently featured in TV shows, etc. as a home cooking expert, participated the 1st Niiza brand Certification Committee.
The products that passed the certification process conducted with warm yet rigorous eyes of assessment are all exceptional and convincing enough for Miki mama to recommend with confidence.
About the 1st round certified product
As a first step, in fiscal 2015, certification was given for Niiza’s unique “food” products that will become souvenirs.
※The certification was updated in the first year of Reiwa.
