Almond paste is used instead of butter, mixed with plenty of carrots produced in Niiza to bake a Rüblitorte with soft texture. Inspired by traditional confectionery of the Aargau region in Switzerland, this masterpiece was created by the collaboration of the passion of the owner who wanted to make a confectionery that can be a souvenir of Niiza and a request from master Hiromasa Ishiyama who is the 10th master of Ishiyama Shachu, the head family of Bushu Sato-kagura, which is an intangible ethnic cultural asset of the City, for making a gift to hand out at his plays.

The package was designed using images of carrots and musical instruments used in Sato-kagura such as flute, large drum, and bell. You can see the owner’s grate taste and love for his hometown in the details of this fancy sweets of Niiza.
